Joe Naylor, CFRE
Co-founder
CEO & President

Joe is a seasoned Certified Fundraising Executive, CFRE, with 30 years of experience helping nonprofit organizations raise over $150 million in capital and annual funds. His expertise is providing transformative counsel to nonprofits in focusing on strategies to enhance donor experience and donor engagement. He is known for his caring approach to donor-centric fundraising. He works with nonprofits that want to expand their fundraising vision and goals.

He accompanies clients through the planning and implementation phases of key strategies for capital campaigns, major gifts, and planned giving; and provide guidance to achieve long-term sustainability. Joe has had leadership roles with the YMCA, Providence Health Care System, the Jesuits, Diocese of San Jose, and Orthopaedic Institute for Children.

Joe is a graduate from Rockhurst University with a BA in English/Psychology. He completed the program for Non-profit Business Excellence for Catholic Leaders at the University of Notre Dame Mendoza College of Business.

Yosuke Chikamoto, PhD, CPXP
Co-founder
SVP, Experience Design & Analytics

Yosuke is a well-versed behavior scientist with over 25 years of experience in academia, healthcare organizations, and consultancy. His research has been focused on designing impactful communication strategies toward sustainable behavior change. At Mount Sinai Health System in New York and Kaiser Permanente in Northern California, he led system-wide efforts to ensure the exceptional care experience for patients and their loved ones through data analytics and professional development initiatives.

He brings his analytical skills that were practiced and fine-tuned during his time as a researcher at Stanford and as a professor at American University and California State University.

Yosuke has received a PhD in Health Education from the Pennsylvania State University. Before moving to the United States, he graduated from Waseda University in Tokyo with a BA and an MA both in Psychology.

Wendy Brennan

Wendy is an energetic, innovative and ethical fundraising professional (and philanthropist). She led all fundraising efforts at St. Patrick Elementary School as Director of Development, where she established creative ways for alumni and donors to connect with its teachers and students. She also serves as a Board Member for the Catholic Charities of Silicon Valley, and the Chair of the Finance Council for St. Lucy’s parish in northern California.

Utilizing her strong strategic leadership skills, she helped various healthcare companies achieve their organizational goals. Many accomplishments include growing and managing a territory of $8.1M in surgical portfolio product sales, and developing and personifying a new brand within the Johnson & Johnson portfolio. Her outstanding work has been reflected in many sales and leadership awards.

Wendy is a graduate of Michigan State University with BA in Finance.

Lois J. Gomez, MPA

Retired senior counsel with Netzel Grigsby Associates, Inc. (NGA), Lois began her career with the YMCA, serving the YMCA of Greater Toledo, followed by the YMCA of the Valley of the Sun, and the YMCA of Greater Los Angeles in executive positions. She transitioned to her fundraising career with the Los Angeles Chapter of the American Red Cross, followed by executive positions in healthcare philanthropy.

While with NGA, Lois led several successful multi-million dollar capital campaigns for healthcare institutions and other not for profit institutions on the west coast. She also developed planned giving and major gift programs for clients.

Lois served as an extension instructor in fundraising certificate programs at both UCLA and California State University Northridge. She held the designation of CFRE for many years. She is a graduate of Cameron College (BS) and Arizona State University (MPA).

Kathleen Muller

Kathleen’s expertise is in the area of non-profit management. She served as Executive Director of two community organizations – the San Jose Historical Museum Association and the Guadalupe River Park Conservancy — for a total of 30 years, and has subsequently been a successful grant writer for numerous non-profits serving a variety of causes. She earned her B.A. in political science and a secondary teaching credential from Santa Clara University.

Kathleen has served on the Boards of many community non-profits, including: Board of Fellows, Santa Clara University (chair); Rotary Club of San Jose; Notre Dame High School (chair); Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County; San Jose Downtown Association; Catholic Community Foundation; and the League of Women Voters or San Jose/Santa Clara.

In 2015, she was named Sustainer of the Year by the Junior League of San Jose for her volunteer work in the community.

Jack Paquette, CFRE

“Jack is a fundraising expert who has mentored and coached many fundraising professionals. He is an avid advocate of donor-centered approach to relationship building.

He was President of Development Counsel, LTD for 40 years as well as a senior administrator with the Society of Jesus (Jesuits). As President, he served as a non-profit management/programming consultant to small and mid-sized, national and international organizations. With the Jesuits, he supported fundraising, strategic planning, Development training, and Communications/Marketing in the Upper Midwest of the US, Northeast India, Eastern Africa, and the Rome administrative office. Over the past 30+ years, Jack served on national and international Boards that focused on healthcare, religion, social issues, culture, education He also served in senior Advancement positions at Marquette University and Covenant Healthcare.

Presently, Jack provides fundraising and marketing counsel to the Society of Jesus in Eastern Africa to build the first Jesuit University on the Continent, located in Kenya.

Jack is a graduate of Marquette University with a MA in International Relations.”

Scott Williford

Scott currently serves as the Board Chair for Diversionary Theatre. He is an experienced business manager with progressive accomplishments across multiple industries including finance, banking, software, internet, technology research, engineering, and energy. He is a proven leader with track record in key business development functions (product marketing, sales management, strategic planning and analysis, market research, and customer research and development). He is experienced in optimizing all phases of customer development ranging from acquisition to customer experience and retention and translating into increased profitability.

Scott combines a passion for numbers and quantitative decision making, a creative problem solving approach, and strategic big picture thinking. He is a strong ambassador for Diversity and Inclusion inside and outside the workplace.

He is a graduate of UC Davis and received an MBA from San Diego State University.
